I've ugraded serveral Pc's to adobe 6.0 reader. They had ver 4 or ver 5 of Adobe. I've uninstalled the older versions , rebooted first.

When I click on a .pdf the program opens up, but its blank. No data showing.
    No errors.
When I uninstall 6 and reinstall 5, it works fine.
    Any ideas.
    Thanks.
    Bill

w.young--Not sure if you are doing this already. If I can, I usually download any .pdf files from the web to my hard drive before opening them. I do this because I do not have to have ActiveX controls running.
There is a setting in Reader that says you can open a .pdf file from the web in "your browser ". (In other words, no downloading.) On the Adobe Reader window, Edit|Preferences|highlight Internet on the left panel. Check the first three boxes and set your connection speed. But you probably will have to allow ActiveX to run for this to work.
P.S. I guess you know that once you install Reader 6.0.1, you should upgrade to 6.0.2.

We are using Netscape and IE as the browsers. Netscape 4.77 & IE 6.0sp1.
Where do I need to go to change the settings in these browsers. I'm having trouble finding them.
    Thanks.

    w.young--
The setting is not in the browser, but in the Adobe Reader window.

It opens the same way in IE but the options or preferences are still in Adobe Reader
