Is there anyway when making short cuts to a file or folder to stop the name becoming "Shortcut To.... "

I sometimes make shortcuts to 10-30 folders at a time and its very time consuming having to take out all the "shortcut to" things.

I have noticed that occasioanlly this stops and it just puts in the origional folder name. This seams to be a random occurrance though.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

TweakUI will be helpful here... Download it here

Then run it and locate 'Explorer' in the left pane. scroll down the list and untick 'Prefix "Shortcut to" on new shortcuts'

    See the piccy: ;)

EDIT - Steve, you beat me to it! :p Feel free to merge them, maybe
