    Charles,

I think they may have ended sooner. I tried yesterday to update the files on my 3 systems and none took the update. A quick remove of 6 and install of SE and I was off and running.

    Hi Mike,

Actually I think Lavasoft went "above and beyond" with support for v6 this long after the new SE version(s) became available. They learned something about PR from the v5.x fiasco :).

You're right. I did get by with that version for a long time. Nice to see a company go that way with support!

Adware SE (new edition) is free for personal, non commercial use. The site has it in small print and doesn't have an apparent download button. Search for Adware SE freeware and you can get a third party site for the freebie.

    Hi Paddy,

I know some people using Ad-Aware 5 and lower

I thought people that continued using v6 a little too cautious, but using an out-of-date piece of security software that has the potential (almost certain) to do a lot of damage to be really strange to say the least.

This annoucement finally allowed me to install 1.05 on a couple friends PC's. They had heard about all the growing pains with the new version and got a little gun shy.
