Computer not booting!

    My friend's computer is running on Windows XP and it has been running fine for nine months but one day suddenly, when he turned it on, you can hear the fan running and the computer running but the monitor was completely black.

    There isnt a faulty connection, but the computer just will not boot..

    Does the monitor power on at all??

    If the monitor powers on I would suspect that your friend may have a faulty video card.
