Hi, I cannot, for some reason send email via outlook express since I downloaded a "Critical Update" for win 2000... Sending is not a problem. Any help would be appreciated :)

Do you receive any errors? What exactly does it do? There seems to be a typo in your post, is it sending or receiving that you cannot do?

Receiving emails are not a problem. I just cannot send any email. It times out. I have a dual boot system and am using my win98 system to send my email. I read somewhere (cannot remember where) that others have experienced the same problem when loading Win 2000 SP2. Have been scrounging around trying to find the fix to it to no avail !!

    Delete, then re-create the account.

Thanks Kevin. Have done that but to no avail.. Removed my email account details, rebooted system and set up account details again. It still times out. error code is 0x800ccc19. I deleted account once more, and loaded up "Incredimail" a shareware email package. It also could nor send email. Receiving is not a problem. It's something to do with Win 20002 and SP2 I think. All in all it's frustrating. I removed "Incredimail" went back to Outlook Express (V6), set up my account again and ended up in the same situation. Cannot send email. No probs with the program via Win 98 though.
