I ran into a problem tonight running Spybot Search and Destroy. I updated first, as always. When running the scan, it got about 3/4 done before stopping. A message said,
    Error during check
    BackOrifice.B(Datei C:\WINNT\wininit.ini kan...

Prior to that the only bad thing found was CoolWWWSearch.SmartSearch.
Before running Spybot, I ran AdAware successfully. I also deleted cookies, deleted files, and cleared History in Internet Explorer. I find that doing that before running the spyware removal programs seems to help.
For the heck of it, I ran CWShredder and it found no problems.
So, my problem seems to be getting Spybot Search and Destroy to complete its scan. I've tried several times with the same result. I also tried to update it again, but it said I was up to date.
I don't think this is a huge problem, but any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I updated again, ran the scan, and everything worked out just fine. Once again, it's The Windows BBS Board to the rescue! You people should wear superhero capes!
