browser settings not staying

Hi- I am having difficulty getting my tool bars and other browser settings to stay where I set them suddenly. I have always been able to select the settings and know they would be there when I rebooted the next day. But lately (well some months now ) I have to reset everything every time I start up. I thought it was the browser version , the help desk at AT&T said I should go back 1 version and well it didn't help. I need smart help. So here I am and thanks in advance. Brent

 

Are you running a Microsoft version of Internet Explorer or is it a customize copy of IE provided by your ISP?

If you click on Start to display the StartMenu you should see an entry for "Log Off... ". Does it have a UserName next to "Log Off ..." or does it just say "Log Off.." with no UserName next to it?
