I have a ton of zipped files on a backup harddrive.
For some reason I find that allot of them are corrupt and won't unzip.

Is there a way to scan the backup harddrive for corrupt zip files so I know whats good and whats bad and needs to be downloaded again?

I don't know why they are corrupt but it seems like the ones I make are the ones that get corrupted?

    Thanks Allot

Rockit--I assume you are using WinZip.
    1) Are these files in fact WinZip files (usually .zip file type)?
    2) Could they be zipped by some other program, like WinRar? (usually .rar file type) WinZip cannot open them.
    3) Are you using the latest version of whatever zip program?

    Hey Jim,
These are WinZip files and I used WinZip to make them. And yes it's the latest version.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You could try using Tweak-XP Pro 4, i think it has a 'Zip Doctor' utility, which repairs corrupt zip files.
