I downloaded a new skin for Mozilla, the first couple of days it even was showing in my Mozilla mail. Now all of a sudden my mail turned back to the plain classic grey that it was. The browser skin is working fine, but is there something I can do to put it back onto my mail board? Thank you :)

Some skins are not compatible with all programs, and mail is affected.
The skin must have a name and Mozilla is more than just Mozilla. Some details are needed. I have been using: Oh Canada, and Skypilot classic as skins for Mozilla1.7.3. Have you checked the http://themes.mozdev.org for comapatibility?

I got the skin from clicking here: http://themes.mozdev.org/themeSites.html
then I clicked on Sailfish's theme collection which took me to here: http://www.projectit.com/freestuff.html and I downloaded #5 Race Day theme. Since this all started out at Mozdev.org.......I guess I assumed it would be fine to download it.
Along these same lines.........don't know if it is related, but seems my email kinda freezes and won't check for mail every 2 minutes like I have it set to do. If I do a restart it works fine for awhile.
I thought by downloading Mozilla 1.7.3 might help, but it didn't.
Thank You for any info you can give me.

    Peggy,

It's the Theme that is causing the problem. It obviously doesn't work well with Mozilla 1.7.3, so either try another Theme or revert back to the default.

Peggy, the skin was for NS7.2. Moz1.7.3 should have been ok, but if there incompatibility, it will show in mail.
As for your other mail problem, i would like to know if you were able to check your mail as often as every 2 min. Some ISP will not let you access the server that frequently, because you may have a denial of service situation, if allowed.
One ISP tells me if I check mail more frequently than every 10 min.
So, change to a working themes, and see if the 2 min intervals are acceptable. If so, keep the setting, and wait for a compatible Theme. If not, change to whatever your ISP allows.
