I'm stumped. I am unable to filter out junk mail in Netscape 7.2 on an XP Home operating system. The junk mail controls are enabled, but there is no junk icon between the subject and sender lines of the email headers.

If you are missing the Junk icon in the Mail toolbar, take a look at your Prefs|Mail and Newsgroups| the third section of the general settings tells which icon you want to see, in addition to all the given ones. The icon is optional, although it is usually present. Just click on the empty box to to chek it. After you close the preferences, you should see the icon.

    lee2000,

There is a very small icon on the extreme right above the Mail Headers, which lists the options for the columns. See this Screen Shot. The cursor is on the small icon, and the available columns are shown, which include "Junk Status ".

There is another way to filter Junk Mail, and that is to right click the message. From the context menu select: Mark | As Junk - or - Mark | As Not Junk.

You can also do as Westside suggests, and that is to add the Junk Icon to the Mail Toolbar.

    HTH,

    Ramona
