   I store a lot of digital pictures on my computer. Is it possible to do mass updates of the file properties: Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, or Comments?

   If you have access to Photoshop look at File > Automate > Batch. Here you can alter at least some of the attributes you describe.

   Another option is this file renamer program. It's just one file and doesn't need an install.
