are the beeps coming from the comp or the printer, if its from the computer, it might be beep code. look up the beep code for your motherboard, there are a few types
    http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html

there might be more than this but your comp probobly falls into one of these, most of the time it's simple, especially if everything runs ok, my videocard was loose so i just had to jiggle it back into place one time.

Are these beeps coming from the BIOS before windows has loaded, or are they from windows after it has loaded, in the form of windows sound scheme chimes. It should be easy to differentiate between the sound of BIOS beeps and windows sound scheme sounds? If they are BIOS beeps they will come from the motherboard. If they are from windows they will likely come out of your speakers.

Some USB pheripherals will cause XP to beep as they are initialized, and some printers will beep when they are initialized if their power is on when the computer is powered up.
