Please, can anybody help me? I´m using Windows XP SP2 Home Edition, Firefox 1.0 and Thunderbird 0.8 and when I click on "Read Mail and News" button in Firefox nothing happens, but in IE 6 it opens Thunderbird. I can also open directly Thunderbird, but not from Firefox.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the Forum, anaherde!

    anaherde,

You have to set Thunderbird as your default Mail Client in order for it to open when you click on Tools | Read Mail, or New Message, in Firefox.

    It´s done already

In fact it worked perfectly some days ago, but yesterday stopped working, I think I haven´t changed anything.
I tried reinstall but the button doesn´t work

    anaherde,

Open Windows Explorer, and click on View | Folder Options | File Types
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol
Ensure that "Opens with" points to Firefox

    Also check URL:MailTo Protocol
Ensure that "Opens with" points to Thunderbird

Also check the Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs Tab
Ensure that "E-mail" points to Thunderbird

    Ramona

P.S. Noted you are using XP, so the settings will be different than those I listed. I believe you will have to go to Add/Remove to find the default browser settings.

It's done, thank you very much

I checked the folder options and it was everything all right. I tried open Thunderbird again and it asked me to set Thunderbird as default email client, I said yes and now everything works perfect.
    Thank you very much. :)
