Okay, I just realized my windows updater didn't get SP2 automatically so I downloaded and installed it.

Now, when I try to use a resolution over 1280x1024 it goes to a using a virtual desktop where I have to scroll around to see everything. It only shows 1280x1024 at a time, the rest is off screen.

I currently have an ATI Radeon/All-In-Wonder card in the machine. (My good card succombed to a power surge and I'm stuck with this one for now)

Any ideas how I might go about getting it back so that it shows my full 1600x1200 on one screen?

Hello TwistedFate and welcome to the Windows BBS!

I don't know if this will help but when I installed Windows XP with SP2 slipstreamed, my monitor was not displaying 1026x768 "to the borders ". I had to go to Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor and adjust the update frequency. For some reason, it was set to 60 Hz but when i bumped it to 85 Hz, all was well again.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

No deal on the refresh, I ran every res at every refresh available. Anything over 1280x1024 it displays at 1280x1024 with the excess off screen and you have to scroll to get the rest.

I tried to download updated drivers for it but the ATI site says to use the drivers provided with XP, soooo. . .

I'm going to be getting a new vid card in a couple of weeks anyway so I may just rollback to pre-SP2 until then. The major fixes don't really affect me anyway.
