Some websites are telling me that the browser I am using is rejecting cookies. Others are sending me back to the log in page each time I log in. I have gone into TOOLS> INTERNET OPTIONS> PRIVACY> my slider is set to medium> My OVERRIDE AUTOMATIC COOKIE HANDLING is not checked, and it does not make a difference when it is checked, I tried that, My FIRST PARTY COOKIES AND THIRD PARTY COOKIES options are set to ACCEPT.
Anyone have any idea what's going on???

    Hey Mom,

How about posting the link to the offending page. Might be easier to help.... :)

    Here's what I found:

Using Mozilla 1.7.3, No problems with cookies on any site.
Using IE6 sp2 with Internet security set on medium and Privacy tab cookies handled by check "override automatic cookie handling" First party accept and third party reject and "Always allow session cookies" checked. No problems with cookies.

You might try download and install "Microsoft Internet explorer 5 Power tweaks Web Accessory" http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/previous/webaccess/pwrtwks.mspx

That is a little utility that you can use in the tools dropdown to add sites that you trust to your trusted zone.

I installed this toolbar, it seems to only want to help with pop-ups. I guess I don't get what I am supposed to do with it.

Also, I just tried to get into my MS Works program and I am getting an error message that it cannot access one or more files. It is telling me to reinstall Works!! Do you think this has anything to do with the MS service pack update we just did?

    PLease advise.
    thanks,
    Jodie

The more I read the more I am thinking this is a SP2 problem. I have asked the same question over in the SP2 forum. Please see Cookies Problem in the SP2 forum for more details.
    Sorry for any confussion!
