    Anyone!
My co-worker attempted to load Windows 2000 Professional on our laptop. Now, the desktop icons (most of them) are gone, the fonts/view is out of wack, etc. I think we should attempt to uninstall it, but am not sure if we'll lose our files. We need them ASAP.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Can I uninstall and go back to Win 98, or can I fix Win 2000?
    Desperately seeking advice.
    Thanks!

    Hi pfi
Welcome to the boards! That's going to be a hard question to answer without knowing if your co-worker changed the file system from a fat 32 to an ntfs one?

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.
She said she didn't do anything except try to run the install program. I don't really know what those formats are, so, I'm stuck. I attempted to uninstall it, but it wouldn't let me. I guess I know what my project for the day is going to be.
