Installed Firefox 0.10.1 and have started to use it. I also run spybot search and destroy which I use to clean out the cookies I don't want but it seems that Firefox's cookies don't get cleaned out.

    Rob,

I don't expect that FF1.0rc work properly. It has serious problems with popup controls, and I would expect cookie management. This problem is known, and I hope that the 1.0 final will be an improvement.

Cookie managment is done through Tools|Options|Privacy|Cookies. So far it is hard to tell what is going on. I have seen a popup coming through, although I blocked the cookie. I get so many cookies, and am soon irritated by them that I had never tried an Antispyware on Firefox, because I already dumped the works.

The cookie managment in FF 1.0pr is bad, but will try S & D. But will have to reinstate the cookies because I had the setting to keep them as long as FF is on. See what setting you have.

By the way what do you mean by: "I don't want but it seems that Firefox's cookies don't get cleaned out "

Well, Bill is correct in that FF's cookies are stored in the cookies.txt member which is different than IE's entries which is probably why Spybot doesn't work...

So far, I'm not enamored with the way cookies are handled. If you don't want to delete a cookie you have to manually add it to an exception list as opposed to "right clicking" the cookie in the cookie list and selecting an "exception" option.

    Westside,
I forgot to place a comma in the sentence it should read.

I also run spybot search and destroy which I use to clean out the cookies I don't want, but it seems that Firefox's cookies don't get cleaned out. (by Spybot)

Cookies are stored in files with the same name, i.e. cookies.txt as the files of Netscape and Mozilla. As for cookies management, this is what I said, in case someone missed it:" Cookie management is done through Tools|Options|Privacy|Cookies.

I suggest that anyone who is used to Mozilla, to take a bit of a tour of Firefox. The set up is not identical.
