Home Network with 2 XP Home Editions. Installed SP2 on Host PC and all was well until today when I installed SP2 on Client PC and since no Internet Connection. A Repair on the Network did not help as it would report Cannot Connect to DHCP (Hope I remember right). I went to Cmd Prompt and typed ipconfig /renew and it gives me a lot of stuff I don't understand. Regardless, it will not allow the Client PC to connect. File and Print sharing work fine, just the ICS.

I don't want to have to uninstall SP2 but will if I can't get the ICS back.

Could someone help me figure this out please. Remember you will be with a BEGINNER!

Problem may be solved. The Zone Alarm in the Client PC was the factor. I had to uninstall it for the Client PC to access the internet. Don't understand this as in the past it worked well with the ZA. Since SP2 it will not. I've looked at everything I know to see the difference and find nothing. Hopefully the ZA in the Host machine will cover this.

Still would like to find out the details on "why" this is the way it is.
