Hello All listed members and experts,
I am facing a problem during installation of Photoshop v7. When the stage of "copying files" during installation comes, my computer shows an error stating:-
    ComponentMoveData had the following error
    Media Name: data
    Component App- Photoshop
    File Group:App-PS
    File D:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\Photoshop7.0\
Error Number-115(refer to the online help)
I have posted the same problem in this forum on 22 september 2004,but it was locked without any solution. Then again I posted same on 27 september 2004 in win98 forum. This is also without any solution till now.
I do not understand what is the wrong and where is the wrong? If anything wrong while posting thread,Pls. intimate me. So that I may correct myself.
However I am using following OS-
    win98 se
    Cpu 2.4 ghz P4, 256 DDRam
Kindly look into the reasons for error and give me the solution to remove it.
    Thanks a lot.

The thread that was locked had nothing to do with your photoshop problem.

As to the lack of answers to this specific issue - that usually means that no one had any idea what might be causing the problem.

The minimum PC requirements for the version you are trying to install are:
    Photoshop 7.0
    - Intel Pentium class III or 4 processor
    - 128 MB of RAM (192 MB recommended)
    - 280 MB of available hard-disk space
    - 800 x 600 color monitor with 16-bit color or greater video card

Does your PC meet those requirements?

Do you already have an older version installed?

Have you tried working with Adobe tech support about the issue since it is application specific and they should be the experts on this application?

    Hello Newt,
Many many thanks for response. I fullfill all minimum requirements for installation. Of course, earlier there was v5.0 in my computer but it was deleted due to some technical problem in my PC.
Not only this program ,many other programs were deleted. However everything is working alright but while installing this program, this type of error
    is coming.
I may try to instal it in safe mode but not now because I am going outstation.
    Thanks,
    mishrarc
