    Hello,

New to all this myself so be kind, I Have had a home networkiing running all okies for about 6 months no problems at all, Now since installing SP2 i have problems here and there but none that really confused me till now.

My Network Dropped out two days ago and every time i repaired the network i got Unable to connect to DHCP, unable to renew IP, etc now ive checked all cables and config /all & renewed ip switched router off etc but no luck.

Last night i did a system restall Now Network starts working all okies with my Xbox but not Pc (B) but still a Network. Now a mate is fiddling with my Pc Today and Installs the New TweakXP4 Reboots and this program thought what the heck ill turn off all "System Restore Points"

Now i am back to Square One with no Home Network,Internet i can get on all okies on Pc (A) No network on pc (b) or Xbox

I have tried all the things i can think of and with out a system restore i am lost as can't get it back to before my "Helpful" mate got hold of my pc

Please could someone give me advise. :(

Hi Cop1962 and welcome to the forum. We should be able to get all this sorted but a little more information would be helpful.

    - What operating system(s) are you running? With XP it always helps to know if it's Pro or Home since they do lots of things very differently.

    - Wired or wireless network?

    - What specific device is doing DHCP for you?
