Hi, I'm new to this forum. Up till now I had no problems with Win XP Home Edition. However, yesterday I tried to install drivers for Winfast TV/video capture card and upon trying to start the installation routine got this message:

NTVDM KERNEL: Missing 16-bit system module
Please, re-install the following module to your system32 directory: COMM.DRV

I checked the system 32 folder and there is a file comm.drv (12 kB). Now, everything works perfect, with exception of one dictionary programme, which gives me exact the same answer. I have installed some programmes lately and everyone could easily be installed.

What should I do? Where can I find this driver and how to install it?

It sounds like your TV card isn't suitable for XP which has no DOS foundation and doesn't allow direct hardware calls. Check the manufacturer for any possible updated drivers or other solutions.

I've solved the problem. My comm.drv file was corrupt and I replaced it with another one. Thanks anyway! Oh, BTW - the card is XP compatible - Leadtek WinFast 2000 XP Expert.
