am working on a biostar m7sxg board using a Intel a65061-001 heatsink and fan. CPU is a 1.8g. Was going to just upgrade to the max of 2.2g but they are difficult to find on the site I usually do business with in fact they dont carry them any more.

they are extremely noisy even after doing a clean job on them. Looking for a compatible heatsink and fan for this system. There are so many options out there so looking for someone to give me a good one to use.

    Thanks.

Within reason, as long as the fan and heatsink is certified for your chip then most will be fine. Being a 1.8 then heat shouldn't be a pressing problem if the case runs cool and dust buildup is kept away from the fan/heatsink.

Others will disagree, But I would think an upgrade fron 1.8 to 2.2 would be hardly noticeable, maybe a few percent? Unless it only costs you a couple of dollars.

I agree with the upgrade. Cant imagine from 1.8 to 2.2 would make a worthwide change.

Was just wondering with companies like aero, coolermaster, vantec, etc which one has the better products. A lot of new looks for these heatsinks and fan guess I will stay with the same type and just get one that is socket 478 compatible.

    Thanks.
