I’ve Installed WiFi 802.11b onto two computers.
One is a laptop, and the other is a desktop.
I’ve gotten to the part where both computers recognize each other. Now I’m wondering what to do next? Do I need to use Network Neighborhood or something?
My goal in the end is to be able to share files between these two computers.
Also I’m using Ad-hoc to connect the two together in case you need to know.
I’m getting 100% signal on the Laptop and about 96% on the desktop.
Please tell me how to exchange files and share printing resources VIA this 802.11b connection if you can. I really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks allot! :)

What operating system(s) are you running and if XP, then specify home or pro versions.

Is sccurity between the two machines a concern at all or are you comfortable with a user on PC-A having full access to PC-B and vice versa?

    Thank you for your replies.
My version of XP is PRO.
I just installed the windows XP OS and I can get the two machines to connect to one another, but I have no idea where to begin with sharing files and how.
I've tried reading all the help files and such but still no help really.
I have my SSID matching on both machines, but the actual computer names are diffrent, should they be the same too?
For instance I have my desktop named 'desktop' and my laptop is named 'Laptop' they both say WORKGROUP underneath.
    I'm so lost...
Could any of you reccommend a site where I could study this information so I don't have to be such a bother to everyone.
    Thanks so much!)

The sharing of files is the same for a wired and wireless system. I suggest you start here
