cannot get online after sp2

after installation I got the prompts for firewall and antivirus and auto updates, I have my own firewall and antivirus and chose the option to inform me before installing updates, now I cannot get online, I get the page cannot be displayed screen. when I go to my network connections window it states that my local connection is disabled because tcp/ip is not enabled or working or something like that. Any advice? thank you in advance.

Can give us more details on the type of connection you're trying to establish?

Have you tried the connection wizard?

Are you on a network?

i am on a broadband connection, I tried the connection wizard and it did nothing, I ended up uninstalling sp2 and everything went back to normal.
