    Hi All,
My Win2k/NTFS disk is not defraged after a "sucessful" defrag runs. Tried original defrag (also at protected mode) and the tried Diskeeper 8 with same disapointing results. Would appreciate help.

Do you mean ALL of the red remains, or only a few bits? If only a few, I think that's normal as I've noticed the same thing on both my Win 2K machines.

    Thanks for reply,
I know allways a marinal red stays - this isn't the case now: I meant a major red part now stays, about a visible half of my 20 meg partitioned "C" drive. - Uric

With DK 8.x it is worth setting the boot-time fragmentation so it runs before windows runs and also set it to defrag the MFT. Normal mode defragmentation is usually enough. So after a boot-time and MFT defrag pass you should only need to run it in "normal" mode for sometime to come.

    Gee Christer,
Not another new version to DK! I would have thought a couple more updates to v8.0 would be in order before releasing a new version.
After all, I guess it's all about business and making money. :(
