Looks to me like you are going in the right direction. I take it you want to use the front panel recepticals on your case for plugging in your audio stuff?

Yes, basically just for headphones and microphone. I can't seem to get the connectors to match up. And, since the instructions for the case and mobo are poor translations (from taiwanese and korean it turns out), they manuals don't help much.

I could just use the connectors on the back of the mobo that show out the back of the case, but that shortens my cords by several feet and isn't quite as convenient to unplug when needed.

Extension cords, six feet, are available for both items.
Experimenting with the internal connections can damage your mobo; it's possible the case and mobo are incompatable in this function if the cables don't seem to match the mobo.

Had the same issue with different equipment, cheated and bought a set of speakers with a front audio jack. Doesn't do much for the microphone though.
