CD copying software to copy OS disk

Hello all,
I would like to know what software I could use to create a "complete" .iso image of my Windows XP CD. The CD seems to have too many scratches/errors and doesn't want to work anymore.

I have Nero v6.3.1.25, but I heard that it won't make a complete copy of CD's
that a copyprotected.

A good tutorial would be nice also.

I use Roxio Easy CD Creator.

If your CD is too scratched up to use it anymore, I would recommend downloading ISO Buster

You can register it and pay a fee to get full functionality but you don't have to. The free functionality works well. Use it to extract the boot image (Microsoft Corporation.img) from your CD, save it to your hard drive in a seperate folder. Then copy all the files from your CD into that same folder. Burn a CD from the files in that folder, and choose the "Disk at Once" or "Finalize CD" method, whichever your program has.

 

I think Nero will be ok if used properly and your old cd isn't too far gone. If it's hosed, you can always get a replacement from MS.. The following read may help you in the process of creating a bootable copy:
