If you have a stick of 512 RAM and a stick 128 RAM, do you have to put the 512 in slot 0, or does it not matter? I believe I read before that the larger stick must go in the first slot.

When people get PCI-Express video cards, is it best to put those in the first PCI-Express slot, or does it not matter?

    Hi shadowhawk,

Check your mobo manual; mine wants memory inserted in high to low slot order, but memory size is irrelevant.

RE: PCI-E cards, see this discussion but again, the manual is the last word.

I think my manual mentioned something about that. Just looked. It doesn't say. Doesn't matter; this was just a rhetorical question. I always try to match memory stick sizes to avoid trouble.
