I have been trying to install NAV 2005 that I purchased and downloaded from Symantec's site. When i click on the setup icon and click the Install button the blue bar runs across like it is installing and when it gets to the end it closes the screen the HD makes a little noise and the mouse flashes with the hour glass then nothing else happens. I have done everything off the Symantec Site twice. The only thing that i havent done is payed for their support. I have left it on all night thinking that maybe it just needed some time ??? but that did not make a difference. I have redownloaded it multiple times because i thought i had a bad download or something. I have done a virus scan off another site and off of Symantec and neither of them find anything. Any suggestions???

    Hello Mary,

The problem may be ME's resource limits - NAV005 is a huge collection of processes that when installed will tax your system. I came across a similair post on this issue, just don't remember where. I took Norton off of ME long ago.

http://computercops.biz/forum82.html is a general Symantec forum, not connected to Symantec. You will have a better chance of your question being answered there.

    Regards - Charles
