I finally figured out that the pop-up blocker blocks all windows, not just advertising. Ok, if I want to get windows to do with the site I'm at, but still block advertisments, at what setting should my blocker be at- low or medium?

    Hello Maya,

if I want to get windows to do with the site I'm at, but still block advertisments, at what setting should my blocker be at- low or medium?

I don't know what it should be, you have to be the judge of that - what works?

Tools > Internet options > Privacy tab > Popup Blocker settings bar > and add the site you want to exclude there.

    Regards - Charles

Set it to medium. I was following your other thread about the MS newsgroups and took a look. I could use the reply just fine with it set at medium. By the way, you said you felt stupid when you found out the problem was due to your popup blocker. No need for that. If you feel stupid I guess I should too. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what could cause it. Apparently everybody else that read the thread should feel stupid too. After all, none of us came up with the answer. ;) :D
