We just got a new laptop, we get this error message when we try and send an email message from Act!

We don't have an IT department... this has kind of fallen into my lap.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Act! uses Outlook to send email, so if you are in fact sending email from Act! just allow the access for a minute or 2 and you should be OK.

Well, we use this all the time... this would be like putting a band aid on a severed limb... (even set at 10 minutes would be unacceptable)

    I need a permanent solution.

There's information about this "enhanced security feature" of Outlook's on this page. Easy to turn off in Outlook Express, not so easy in Outlook.

Information about Outlook's security settings are on this page and this page.

After scanning those last two, it sure looks to me that the simplest solution is to use the "Click Yes" utility available for download on that first page.

What version of Act! are you using?

Are all of the updates installed?

It's been a while since I've seen this problem and I'm sure that the solution had nothing to do with Outlook but rather with an Update that was applied. We have 5 of them saved for new installations of Act! and I don't know which one fixed this particular problem.
