I have a CD-rom, DVD burner & 2 HD's. This combination takes up all the drive connection provided on the mother board.

Can I add an additional HD controler card and plug in a third HD.
will ihave problems with the BIOS.

Why bother with another controller card when you can buy a USB 2.0 external HDD.

    Maxtor OneTouch FireWire and USB...
    - For beginners and experts alike, in the home or office
    - Vast storage capacity
    - Easy pushbutton back up
    - 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 200GB and 250GB
    - FireWire and USB 2.0 and 1.1 compatible
    - For PC and Mac

    Western Digital

I have 2 (1-40 GB and 1-80 GB) USB 2.0 Drives and have been using them for a couple years now.

    Anyways...Just a suggestion... :D

I tend to agree with Kent. I recently purchases a Maxtor One Touch external 120GB USB2 only drive (a bit cheaper than a USB2/Firewire version :) ). Great for backups and portability. Yes it may be a bit more than buying a controller card and IDE drive, but the portability option makes up for a little more expense, and 2000/XP and 2003 recongnize it without any drivers needed.
