    Hi there

Have been facing problems lately with my Outlook Express.
Regulary, I cannot open up my OE. Neither double-clicking the desktop icon nor trying to open it via the programmes icon works. In such cases I have had to close down and re-start, but when clicking re-start I've first faced a message about "program O is running" or something similar (have no clue as to what program O is??). Also, lately I have not been able to access any attachments that have been sent to me. Message reads: "OE removed access to following unsafe attachments in your mail:.... "

Some two months ago I had problems with spyware and got rid off it all with the great help of you guys. In case there is a need for the hijackThis log in this case as well, below is a scan I've just done:

For the attachments problem, once you get OE open, go to Tools>Options>Security tab, uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus," click OK.

The HJT log looks pretty clean. Have you tried clicking on start, clicking on run, keying in
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
and clicking OK to let the system file checker examine your system? That will often fix IE problems.

And note that sfc runs quickly and except to ask for your XP CD, it usually doesn't give you any feedback on what it has done.

but when clicking re-start I've first faced a message about "program O is running" or something similar (have no clue as to what program O is??).

I don't either. Hopefully someone else will know and will say.
