    and keeping them off.

Is there a way to remove the games and keep them from being reinstalled?

Maybe a registry hack or something?

when you remove the games from the "remove windows components" does it uninstall the games or does it just remove it from the program list?

I removed the games and a user got them back, now i dont know if they have a win2k cd and reinstalled the games or not but i want the game to stay off!

Please be specific. What games are you talking about? Video games? or the standard games that come with Windows OS like solitaire? Which is it?

I presume you mean Freecell, Minesweeper and the other card game.

Removing them with "remove windows components" does unintall them. However, if the computer has a copy of the i386 folder it is fairly straight forward to install them back on. And if they have windows disks it is just as easy.

You may be able to use policies to stop a user changing the software installed on the PC.

However, if this is a business, threatening disciplinary action is a more effective way. The games can't just reappear!
