uninstall old version of norton

    Hav just restored a packard bell pc to original state and norton av v5.0 has
    also been restored however its not showing in the add/remove progs and I need to remove it before I install latest software I can find it on pc but wondered if anyone new of a good uninstall program or if there was a better way of removing it?

    Depends on how you restored the PC. Sounds like to me you didn't use a true imaging program like Norton Ghost, but rather the restore CD that came w/ the PC.

    Look in the Norton AV program folder. You might be able to locate the un-installer routine/executable there.

    EDIT: I found a better solution for you here. Just download the utility and be sure to follow the directions carefully.
