    Hi everybody, thankyou all for an invaluable source of information. Im new here and this is my first post. I apologise for starting with a question but...

    I've just followed Arie's tutorial on how to slipstream SP2 but have run into problems. I downloaded the full network install (WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe) and followed the instructions using 2 folders as follows;
    C:\XP-CD and C:\XP-SP2.

    Extracting the files from the SP is OK but they will not integrate into my XP-CD folder which contains all the files copied from my install CD.

    I get the following error message:

    "This Service Pack cannot be integrated into a destination that also has integrated software updates. Consult the Service Pack documentation for more details about supported integration scenarios. "

    (I tried to attach a screenshot but VBulletin would'nt let me)

    My XP Home edition install disk is an OEM job from Fujitsu which came with my laptop - so maybe they "interfered" with it by adding some updates already which are now preventing slipstreaming.

    Interestingly though, I was able to slipstream SP1a+rollup into the same disc some time ago (again using Arie's excellent tutorial).

    Does anyone know a way around this or a way of removing any "modifications" which may have been added by Fujitsu?

    Btw, I found no details about "supported integration scenarios" in the Service Pack documentation.

    Many thanks in advance for anyone who is able to shed light on this.

    Are you trying to slipstream SP2 to the ORIGINAL or the slipstreamed SP1?

    This is caused by the fact that your Windows XP CD contains updates that will be automatically installed when you run setup. This type of CD's will usually be from larger OEM suppliers (like Dell, HP, or others).

    Dell has some instructions as which files you need to delete to make it work on their forum

    It worked on my OEM Full XP Home edition when I did it a month ago.

    In that link to the Dell Forum what does the instruction "then proceed to extract the boot sector from the installation disk" mean should be done?
