    I have received a quote as a WPS attachment in a OE6 email.

    I do not have a program that will open this file and have notified the sender however as I have a few quotes coming in for the same product from different companies it is pretty important that I can open this quote now.

    None of my searches has provided me with the answer I need.

    I noticed a similiar posting to mine on this board sometime 2003 and emailed johanna but have had no response there either.

    All help appreciated.

    thank you

    WPS-> Text document (Microsoft Works)

    Might try download the file to you hard drive and right clicking and do "open with." Try a few different programs. **** Be sure and UNcheck always open with.****

    What did you download from Microsoft. A "Works" viewer?

    You can shift+right click the .wps file, then chose open with and use notepad.
    You'll see a lot of extra code but the text will display also.

    Thanks all,

    rcerrato,

    Yours was the only one that worked...Though hard to decipher I eventually was able to make some sense of the gibberish.....though pressing shift was totally unnecessary and only contributed to open about another eight files as well.
