ads234 how do I really get rid of it?

Something with address of "ads234 . com" comes up every time I click on any link, image etc.. then usually lets me go to the page I want.
I tried Spybot, Ad-Aware and MacAffee.
How do I REALLY get rid of ads234 ?
    regards, flatfoot1

Download the latest version of Hijackthis (see quicklinks in my signature). Should be v1.98.2.

Put it in a folder of its own - so not a temp folder and not directly on the desktop.

Run a scan and save a log of the scan. When it opens the log in notepad (automatic after it finishes the save) copy the entire log into a reply here.

Also, you want to be sure you are running the latest versions of the other apps

Spybot v1.3 (and if you have an earlier one, open that version, uncheck any protections, close it, and uninstall it).

    Ad-aware SE v1.04

    Dear Newt,
I ran the RAV program found in your quick links and now the ads234 thing is gone. I had already used Hijackthis, MacAfee, Ad-Aware and Spybot.
Thanks so much for your help.

p.s. I only have one other weird problem on my machine.
I will post it in the security forum under a separate entry.
    Thanks again, Flatfoot1

My Desktop background has a Plain White background.
I right click on it for Properties and it says
    file://C:\WINDOWS\Web\desktop.html
I cannot find this file in Windows Explorer.
Spybot, MacAfee, Ad-Aware and RAV show ALL CLEAN.

When the machine is Loading up, the factory Dell Background is there
but quickly gets covered up by this HTML background.
