unable to create new folders

I'm unable to create a new folder in Windows ME. Can't create by right clicking or from the File menu. Pls help.

THANKS! This worked for me, too. After creating a Windows ME Network I also noticed the "new folder" option was gone.

I posted on annoyances.com and someone replied to me directing me to this post.

Also something else I found interesting was that patch giving you the ability to download 10 or more things at once - the default which was 2 was quite annoying!

Hey, I'll be coming back here again I bet!

Lost my "new folders" option too...probably in the course of fixing a spyware attack recently, or maybe even BECAUSE of the spyware (?).

Did my usual google search and couldn't get a fix until I found this site with this link.

Used the registry restore program and boom, the option is back.

I'm having the same problem

Just noticed it today, no option to create a new folder, so I did a search on this subject and found this board.

I have a question for all of those who used the "restore NEW command" file; did any of you do as suggested and backup your registry? I was wondering how necessary that is.
