Anytime I map a drive, it populates it into the windows explorer and then spawns a new window. I know this is a stupid question, but how do I prevent that extra window from popping up every time?

Use Personalized Menus is not checked.
Launch folder windows in a seperate process is not checked.
Open each folder in same window is selected.

Tek - I forgot to add that to the current settings. I already had that set. Any other ideas?

I don't know of any way to turn that function off, but I do know that if you map drives from the command prompt (net use) instead of the GUI, you don't get the spawned new window.

When mapping a drive, before you hit OK, hold the shift key down. That prevents the window of the mapped drive from popping up.
