when I try to look at the image properties of my photos I get an error when I click on the image tab. The error is:

internal error: image filter not found

    Anyone help with this?

bprecey--Ran a search at www,google.com for you and found only this

Not clear what imaging program it applies to.
If it does not help you, what program do you use? What is the file type extension of your images? And what do you mean by image tab?

When I say image tab I mean when you right click the file and properties and choose the 'image' tab. Apologies for not being clear. When doing this i get the message as stated above one additional thing maybe worth noting is the box the error pops up in has the title 'media manager find extentions'

    Thanks, Barry

The error message on the link you gave me is right but the circumstances are different I think. thanks though.

Can you be a bit more specific - I am running XP Pro SP 2 and right clicking on a jpg > Properties does not show an image tab. Hovering the mouse over the file gives a box which shows Dimensions, Date, Camera model , File Type and Size.

What file extension are you looking at?

I think you must be using CView or something similar that adds context menu items to the properties field. If that's the case then you should try an uninstall/re-install to see if it cures the problem. Then also check for newer drivers, especially if it never worked properly with your present OS.
