How to find product key on an installed XP Home machine?

    I need to find my product key, I cannot locate the folder and I didn't write it on the CD, I know, stupid me. Anyway is it listed in the registry somewhere, or control panel? I can't seem to find it. I need the one from the install folder, the one that is mostly letters, not the all number ID in the registered to section of control panel.

    Google XP Key Viewer. There are a few of these freeware hanging around.

    Belarc Advisor

    go here and click on system tools and download Belarc Advisor. It will give you your key for XP plus all others, and everything about your system. Hope this helps.
