    Microsoft has announced the third "Compatibility Update" for Windows XP (applies to both Home Edition & Professional version), which is designed to add compatibility with various consumer-grade software packages.

    I'm getting a new PC with Windows XP. I assume, shouldn't use that word :D , the first time on the Internet I should go to Windows Update and install this latest "XP Application Compatibility Update ". While I'm there, also install the Critical Updates too, huh? Thanks.

    ummm yeah...all windows updates are pretty critical...the driver updates are good stuff...

    dont forget to pick up a virus dection with updating of the defintions available
