    my problems sounds similiar

Many months ago installed Linksys router and remotes for the kids. Mine cpmputer is good but the kids can not get IE to go to any page. The bar at bottom says they are connected signal excellent at 11MPS (or something) When you click on IE to open a page nothing happens, sometimes and error sometimes not, just blank.

After checking connection wizard it says some hardware is disconnected, but it is not. I unplugged it and put it back, still nothing. Unistalled the thing and let the wizard reinstall "new hardware" and still nothing

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks
    Matt

moco123 - I split this off from an XP-SP2 thread and moved it to the networking section. I think you'll get better results this way.

Please do the following to create a text file containing the specifics of the IP settings on your PC (works properly) and one that is not working. When you have finished, please open each text file in notepad, select all the contents, and post them in a reply here. Please identify which set of values belongs to your PC and which set to another PC.

Click on start, click on run, key in cmd and press ENTER.

At the command prompt type in the following to create a new file that contains all the settings.
    Code:
    ipconfig /all > c:\config.txt
