I downloaded Windows Media Player 10 yesterday, only to discover when I had installed it, it crashes. So I performed an " End Task ", and tried to open it again. But still it crashes.

    Can anyone help?

    Nic.

Hi Nic99, The chances are maybe
    - you did not uninstall previous version
    - the huge download lost a bit or two
    Maybe start over again ?
I have not heard of a mass protest about this Version of MS MPlayer.
    regards

    Nic99,

Yesterday I also downloaded Windows Media Player 10. As far as I can recollect this is a new install of WMP. For your info in reviewing the Add Remove content: WMP 10 is showing 8.41 MB. However there appears to be an associated part: Windows Media Format Runtime also 8.41 MB.

Maybe you should give merlin's advice a try.

It's working ok for me. But as far as Microsoft's beta downloading service, I'll pay them with beta money! That is, my checks may or may not go through! :)

Did you get the right version of Windows Media Player 10. There is a beta version floating around on the Microsoft site.
