I am regretting "upgrading" to Netscape 7.2 from 7.1.

I now cannot "Find" a text string in a web page using the Edit> Find feature. It acts as though it is finding the text string; but, nothing is highlighted.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Is there a fix for it?

    Hi Alex,

WFM. There are plenty of bugs on the Find component, and if you want to go through them:

Bug List - "Find " Start at the bottom with the most current and work your way up.

I have seen anyone else reporting this on any of the Netscape Forums yet, but I will check the NG's to see if others are experiencing your problems.

Nice to see you around again, even if you are having problems.... :)

Well, I use this Find feature a lot and if I can't fix it in short order, I'll be going back to 7.1 and there will be no more upgrading for a while.

It will be my luck, though, that 7.2 changed something that 7.1 will not correct.

    Alex,

Three major bugs are fixed in 7.2...

    Resource Leak
    Installer Bug (GRE)
    Download Bug (compreg.dat)

Not to mention some security vulnerabilities

    Stay with it.
