    Hi
Just got the sp2 cd from Microsoft in the mail today, now I'm a bit worried about installing it from some post I've read with problems etc. Do You think it would be alright to wait awhile before installing? I don't want to cause major problems if I can help it. I know eventually I'll have to install it so maybe over the weekend I'll just install it and keep fingers crossed everything works.

The usual 'best advice' for installing a service pack is to wait at least a month after release to see how things are going and to see if they release an updated SP.

As long as you are set up to be reasonably secure, that is probably still the best idea and maybe even wait 2-3 months. This is a real biggie of an update and while most folks have no problems at all, a few have really horrible results that nobody knows quite how to fix yet. In a couple months, the problems may still crop up but solutions will be easier to find.

    Me Too! :p

Remember, If you come across any problems you can always uninstall it. I got mine this morning and i havent had any problems so far... touch wood ;)

But like Newt said, its best to wait a while.
    Also have a look here....

    Hi
Thanks for the info, I think I will wait a little while before installing the cd. This way if there are still a few bugs they can work them out.
