I have downloaded SP2, have uninstalled ZoneAlarm and presumably am using the Win XP Firewall (my choice). There is no XP firewall icon in my systems tray. How can I be sure the XP firewall is in use? I also continue to use Norton AV ... any problems with this thus far? Thank you ...

    Hi rebar5058...

If this is a home computer => Click "Start" button => Click "All Programs" => Click "Control Panel" => Select "Security Center ".

The "Security Center" window will have a green light and will say "ON" if Firewall is operational.

I use NAV2004 at home and only had a minor issue with WF until Symantec put out a patch. Updated NAV2004 with patch and now I get a green light on Antivirus in Security Center.

EDIT 2: Sorry Pete, I was editing to put in the NAV info when you answered the NAV question.

None that I am aware of - running NAV 2004 on one PC, originally NAV 2003 on another, but now running NAV 2004 on both.

There is a patch available through Live Update for NAV 2004 which allows Windows Security Centre to report that your definitions are not more than 2 weeks old. A patch for 2002/3 is imminent - may have been released by now.

For NAV2002 - not as of this posting.
