Event Log - Userenv warning

    Does anyone know how to get rid of this error?

    Description:
    Windows saved user COMPUTER\David registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use.

    This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.

    lots of reading out there on this one, the causes can be varied and troublesome to isolate. Check this tool out, it should straighten you right out.

    User Profile Hive Cleanup Service
    A service to help with slow log off and unreconciled profile problems.

    If you want to be more surgical, we'll need to get a userenv log from you to see what key is open by who. Sometimes this requires some hairy work to accomplish, definatly something microsoft support can assist with if thats an option for you.

    I have beeen getting this warning ever since-----.I just ignore it and
    everything seens to be running OK-as far as I know :) I'll be watching
    future replys and look into it further.

    I did a repair install of Windows XP and this error is gone.
