I am still automatically opening IE with http://www.msn.com/ I don't want to see this page - at all.... I change it to "blank page" and all's well UNTIL I close down and re-boot...then back comes "msn.com ".

I thought I had solved it... I turned off Ad-Aware 6 (It usually scans upon boot up) ... and all was fine , I was able to start with a "blank page "

Thinking the problem was somewhere in the Ad-Aware6 program, I deleted it.
Ran Spybot, then downloaded and install Ad-Aware SE Personal...... right away it was back opening at "MSN.COM ". It appears it must be something to do with Ad-Aware - but what ?????

    Any ideas/solutions greatly appreciated.

With Ad-Aware SE www.msn.com is default home page under "Default Settings ".

    1) Start Ad-Aware SE
    2) Click on "Ad-Aware Configuration Window" button (Buttons on top 2nd from left)
    3) Click on "Defaults" button. You will see the under "Deault Settings" => "Default IE Pages" section the "Default Homepage" is "http://www.msn.com "
    3) Open IE and change your Default Homepage to whatever you would like then get back into Ad-Aware "Default Settings" and click on the "Read current settings from system ". This should change Ad-Aware settings to your preferences.

If you change it to another site does it "stick? "

You can search the registry and file several "Start Page" keys with msn.com in it. Might try changing it that way.
